Sony Sound Forge 10 Noise Reduction Serial

Dec 20, 2017 - [August Taconi] 'Need activation key for Sony Noise Reduction 2.0 in Vegas Pro. Listed in 'My Software' I have Serial Numbers, not Activation.

I don't have the Noise Reduction stuff but just checked my account and all my software is listed along with SNs and download links. Do you have the SN somewhere else in an email or text file (both of which I keep) and/or have you tried this? EDIT: actually the download links redirect to the Magix site. I logged into my Magix account which only showed Vegas 14, however, I was able to register Sound Forge Pro 11, Vegas DVD Architect 7.0, and CD Architect 5.2 using the registration numbers I had. Now they are indeed listed in the Magix user area under My Products. Sorry for your trouble but thanks for posting this as I may not have ever looked to make sure those products had actually transferred.

I hope you get it squared away! I just recently lost my C drive and had to recover all my apps including Sound Forge and Vegas.

Some of the apps that came with SF and Vegas, like CD Architect and DVD Architect were listed in my account, but when I tried to download them from the Sony site, I was directed to the MAGIX site where they tried to sell me their versions of those programs. However, I was lucky enough to have saved my download file from my old C drive which still had the installation files for those apps, and I was able to recover them. Perhaps you still have those installation files in your download file, too. It sure saved my goose.

When I got the email from Magix saying they'd bought Sound Forge et al, I transferred my account from Sony and downloaded all the latest updates for SF8, NR2 and CDA 5.2 (which I'd bought new). No trouble with SF8 nor NR, but it took 5 weeks to get a solution to CDA 5.2.

My original 5.0 serial was no longer correct and after several emails on two support tickets (they closed the first one) Magix finally sent me a new serial # for it and now, it all is working.and I thought I had a long wait! Awesoman I used to have Noise Reduction on my Sound Forge 11 and now it is grayed out. I reinstalled an older version of Sound Forge and the plugin reappeared but it was only the demo version.

How do I go about getting this plugin back to the full version without having to pay for it again? I really need it for a few projects I'm working on. Please read the post above yours.

The Noise Reduction bundle was provided by iZotope so you would have had to register your serial number with them. Go to your iZotope account. Hello, newbie here. I have the same problem with registering Noise Reduction 2.0.

I've always have problems with the Sony Vegas/Sound Forge programs since inception as I periodically clean up my pc hard-drives from time to time, but when it comes to re-installations I am bound to run into registration issues. With that said, I am having problem re-registering my Noise Reduction software. The program came bundled with 'Sound Forge Pro 8' and it included a different disc with serial number but now I cannot register for the life of me because Sony kept directing me to Magix but the latter is saying that they do not recognize such program.

I visited the Izotope website but couldn't find any use there either. Please help!!

I'll update this myself -- I still need an answer but this might help some other poor soul out there. Sony replied 'Hey, it's already in SF 10.0'. The only problem is, they're wrong. Oh, it's IN there all right, but it's grayed out and you can't select it even if you have any audio file open. Only by downloading and installing the Noise Reduction 2.0 plugin from this site can I get around that -- but THEN I get asked for a serial number. So it's a catch-22 -- you can't use the Noise Reduction stuff that's 'in there' but you can't install it from the outside or you need a serial number. This is a big bug in SF 10 and if Noise Reduction is important to you I would suggest you wait until they fix this before you upgrade.

Yeah, I'm sure that was the *intent* -- that is, that when SF 10 was installed those tools should be activated. But, while they do appear in the menu, they obviously *aren't* activated (at least for me, running Windows XP Pro, latest version). Sony has become mute on the issue (after responding to me almost immediately) so I can only assume they were unaware of this or somehow can't figure it out. But it's a definite bummer as I really needed those tools tonight (plus, my nervousness makes me think this might be an issue they can't resolve -- they must have *surely* tested this and yet if it only occurs for me I might be screwed). It only shows up under tools, but it's grayed out (until I installed it separately, as I said, and then it asks for a serial number). I installed and authorized SF 10, the Noise Reduction tools show on the menu but are not selectable under ANY circumstances until I went ahead and downloaded them from this site and installed them separately, but at that point they ask for a serial number.
