Shining Blade English Patch

I've added two new job openings to the first post. As for an update on the project, the majority of initial translation for the first part of the menu text is near complete.
We are now checking in-game to verify item, Force skill, Force song, etc. Effects are accurate to their descriptions. As well as fixing text-related bugs and ensuring that nothing has broken from the text insertion and my increasingly numerous assembly modifications. Please realize that when I say first part of the menu text, while that entails a large chunk of menu related text, there are two other parts to this.
The second part is menu text that is formatted the same as the script. The majority of this is in-game messages that either ask the player a question or notifies the player of something. Also, stuff like the tutorials. The third part is the textures, which are quite numerous. These will need to be edited in a program such as Photoshop, to remove the Japanese text and replace with English text. There are two types of these.
The traditional textures, that can be edited and converted back to their original format, finally to be inserted into the game. And the MLX textures. The MLX textures consist mostly of menu related stuff and they differ by having multiple images crammed together into one image. There are set values for the vertices of each texture in the image. The category tabs for the Items menu, that I posted my work on awhile ago, is an example of this. These generally require more work, because English text usually takes up more space. Which means that I have to rearrange these textures and sometimes increase the size of the entire image.
And when I do that, I have to find the values for each texture in that image that has moved. And I have to change those values to account for the new positioning and size of the textures.
I post here to show my support towards this project! I beat this game recently on PPSSPP (all Heroine Endings ^^) thank to the translation of cyberakuma/mechgouki, but I would be glad to see the entire game translated! Also, I would like to inform you that a guy called chebuoi has translated a big part of the database of the game, as you can see here (warning there are many sheets to read: do not forget to use the arrows below to read every sheets): Note: You can download this file as an.xlsx file if you want by clicking on 'File' in the top bar. Souces: BTW, if somebody is interested into making an English patch for Shining Resonance (PS3), a similar translated database has been done by a guy called Master LL: Sources. Domsxcela, for japanese and coding you need to have already some experience, as both require time (months, years) to learn, for editing it's still kind of early, but do you mean text editing (rechecking translations) or image editing? ValkyrieXY, (un)fortunately we have already translated most of the contents of those sheets (kinda better too if you ask me), still thanks for the interest! If we are going to translate other games in the series they are probably going to be the other entries for psp (hacking is already done, more members owe a psp), still it's far too early to talk about this.
This is cyberakuma AKA mechgouki. You have permission to use my translations. But I must request that you retain the character names that I have chosen. Some character names, both possibilities are correct. For example, Reiji and Rage are both correct. Jinkurou and Jincrow are both correct. For Misty, he loading screen displays her name as Mistral.
I believe that is inaccurate. For Surt, Surtr is also correct. But if you are going to set his name as 'Slut' (which is literally how the official website spells his name), then I request you use someone else's translation. For multi-option events, I only translated the path with the best results.
It's been a while, but as I recall, I chose Dyran because it was spelt so in the character loading screen. Mind you, the character loading screen is not 100% accurate, Mistral being one of them. Also I can't remember how they spelt Ranah's name. Was it 'Rana'? I also insist on using Kerberos instead of Cerberus. Slut is how they spelt his name on the official website. His name is Su ru to, which accurately translates to Surt or Surtr, the fire demon.
Names like Reiji and Rage, I am not particular, because both are correct. Click to expand.Actually Mistral is her official name, but Misty is correct too.
